Parent Retreats #1-#3

Parent Retreats are progressive opportunities for parents to come to the Heartlight campus to learn from Heartlight’s Executive Director, Mark Gregston.  Parents are also given plenty of time to spend with their teenager’s counselor, academic coordinator, and other house staff. These retreats focus on material that coincides with each residents’ progression through the Heartlight Level System, helping parents understand what to expect from their teenager at each level and providing encouragement. Parents are requested to attend all 3 retreats while their teenager is a resident of Heartlight.  It is very important for the success of the program for the student to see that his or her parents are learning from the program, just as they are.

Everyone can then look past the anger and teenage rebellion to focus on the troubled teenager's healing. Our Christian residential schools serve Texas, California, Oregon and Washington on the West Coast and Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Nevada in the Southwest, from Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, Louisiana, and Mississippi, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois in the Central States, from Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, and Idaho in the north, and from Georgia, Florida, Virginia, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and New Jersey along the east coast. Teens come to Heartlight from throughout the U.S. and Canada.
