Melissa Gregston Nelson Melissa Gregston Nelson, Director of Admissions, has a unique understanding of the workings of Heartlight, having grown up with parents who founded the Heartlight program. Melissa has always been a part of Heartlight, and now plays a crucial role for incoming families and assisting them in the admission and interview process. Having graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas with a degree in Child and Family Studies, Melissa is equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary for working with families. Prior to joining the Heartlight Staff in July of 2000, Melissa worked as a child life specialist at Early Childhood Intervention in Longview, Texas. Courtney Goswick Courtney Goswick, Admissions Assistant. Few people can boast of swimming in the Main House pool as a young child like Courtney can! A Longview lifer, this is Courtney’s second tour of duty at Heartlight after taking time off following the September 2008 birth of her daughter, Miller Grace. In addition to hobbies like crafting, Courtney enjoys spending time with her husband Shane and the rest of their extended family that lives in the area. She has a big heart for hurting people and brings a tremendous amount of laughter and lightness to Heartlight.
