    If you’ve ever done a major home improvement project, you’ll probably understand why I say it’s a lot like being a parent.

    I think every remodeling project I’ve ever taken on has been a living embodiment of Murphy’s Law. Things go wrong, plans get changed, and costs skyrocket. But in the end, it’s a joy to see the results.

    That’s pretty much what parenting is like. When the work is finally done and your child is beyond their terrible two’s and terrifying teens, you’ll realize how much it was worth it. Good parenting is worth the cost. So, if the dust is still flying, visualize the end result and that will help you see it through to the end.
