    PODCAST SCRIPT:

Some parents win the battle and lose the war in relation to fixing the mistakes of their teenager.

A kid named Carl is a good example. In high school he did some really stupid things, and his dad constantly hammered him for it. I honestly believe that if Carl’s dad had chosen to handle it a little differently, Carl could have rebounded from his mistakes. But he simply couldn’t take the relentless criticism. So Carl left home, and never returned.

Keep in mind that life gets tougher when you’re stupid. So, the best path for parents is to keep comments to themselves and let the consequences of their teen’s stupid behavior be the teacher.

Be sure to apply the consequences, but be slow to comment and quick to forget.
