    PODCAST SCRIPT:

What do you do when your teenager disappoints you?  Do you dump a truckload of anger or shame on them, or do you see it as a learning opportunity?

When your teen falls into a deep pit of misbehavior, it’s far better to lower a ladder, climb down and reach out your hand to them than to demand they find their own way out.  No, you can’t overlook applying appropriate consequences, but you can offer them love, help, comfort and grace—just as God does when we fail.

We all make mistakes, so see it as a learning experience.  Consider it a signal that you need to move toward them, rather than backing away from them out of disappointment.
