    PODCAST SCRIPT:

If your teen is angry all the time, it’s likely a defense mechanism to cover up deeper issues.

To help uncover the issues leading to your teen’s anger, talk to them about it.  But first, prepare yourself for how you will respond if they blame you for all their woes, because that is likely what they’ll do.  Defuse their anger by agreeing with initial complaints, because those are not likely the core issues.  Be sure to take a break if things get out of hand.

With perseverance and the help of a counselor if needed, your teen will know that you are serious, and will eventually reveal the problem so that it can be dealt with.
