    PODCAST SCRIPT:

Some kids go through what can only be described as temporary insanity in the teen years, but it is no time to back away from them.

When your teen is struggling, it hurts.  It hurts because it damages your relationship.  It hurts because you feel like a failure as a parent. And it hurts because your child may act like they hate you.

But this time of insanity is usually short-lived, so make sure your child knows you’re still committed to them by both saying and showing them love, even if they don’t respond.

Thinking of adolescence as a period of temporary insanity, not rebellion, will give you the right perspective to hang in there with your teen.
