  • Falling Down And Failing Up (4-5-2011)

    PODCAST SCRIPT:

It’s always a big day in the life of a child when the training wheels are taken off their bike.

Most of us fell down once or twice as we learned to ride a bike without training wheels.  Bloody knees and elbows couldn’t be avoided, but the pain of our failures taught us to succeed.

Today we live in a generation when parents do everything for their kids.  Their kids are protected, but they also don’t mature, because they lack experience doing things on their own.

If you don’t give your teens the chance to fail, they won’t have a chance to grow up.  Taking off the training wheels is a vital part of preparing them for adulthood.
