    PODCAST SCRIPT:

The venom of bee stings tends to build up in your system. So a single sting or even several may have little effect, but combined with stings from previous years, it can become dangerous.

Changes are kind of like bee stings for teenagers.  A move, a death, a divorce or any other loss are all stings that can build up in the teenager’s life.  Whether they lapse into an “I don’t care” attitude, or they use bad behavior as a way to get back at those who caused the losses, parents need to understand where that behavior is coming from.

That’s why in the teen years it is best to keep things stable. The more changes, the more “stings” and the more vulnerable your teen will become to peer pressure and rebellion.
