  • Unexpected Grace For Teens (12-8-2010)

    PODCAST SCRIPT:

Grace is a commodity that should be welcomed, but not expected, by your teen.

The mother of a teenage boy felt guilty for her divorce, so she never corrected her son. With no one to hold him accountable, he began to act up more and more, and it eventually became a way of life for him.

While the mom thought she was offering her son grace in a difficult time, she was really giving her son license to sin, by always letting him off the hook.

While grace is giving something undeserved, offering too much grace can backfire and bring on more inappropriate behavior. When it becomes expected, it is no longer grace at all, it is simply poor parenting.
