  • Is That Normal for Teens? (9-6-2010)

    PODCAST SCRIPT:

With all that this culture is throwing at our kids today, it can get confusing for parents to know what is normal and not normal teenage behavior.

It’s normal for a teen to put off doing homework and chores, stay up too late, lose things, and be overly emotional. It’s even normal for teens to question their faith, not want to go to church and test their parents’ rules, patience and resolve.

What isn’t normal is a sudden change in their personality, talk of death, extreme outbursts of anger, sadness or disrespect, dropping grades, changes in sleep patterns, or withdrawal from family and friends.

When you see such abnormal behavior, take care to seek the help of a good counselor.
